NGS 2009 Conference in the States Proposal Guidelines All submissions must be sent as email attachments in either Word or WordPerfect file format to callforpapers@ngsgenealogy.org. Please use your name as the file name and number each submission. The first file, titled “Your Name” should include 1. Speaker’s full name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. 2. Brief speaker biography (two or three sentences) for brochure. 3. Additional biographical information and a résumé of recent lectures may be included. Those who have not spoken previously at a regional or national conference are encouraged to submit an audio tape or videocassette of a recent lecture. Each submission should be a separate file titled “Your Name 1," Your Name 2,” Your Name 3,” etc. and should include 1. Title of the presentation and a short summary of the lecture for the program brochure. The word count of the title plus description must not exceed forty words. 2. A brief but comprehensive outline 3. Identification of the audience level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced. 4. Type of projection—overhead, slide projector or digital projector (this is for scheduling purposes only). Overhead or slide projectors will be provided by NGS; speakers requiring digital projectors must provide their own. Questions should be directed to lund@ngsgenealogy.org
