Transcribing, Extracting, And Abstracting Genealogical Records

Transcribing, Extracting, And Abstracting Genealogical Records - This course provides instruction in transcribing, extracting, and abstracting genealogical documents.
The course is a manual that you can use over and over again as you develop skill in transcribing, extracting, and abstracting documents. Each lesson contains practice lessons where you apply what you learn. The practice exercises take the place of tests or quizzes that test how well you can search out the "right" answer.

    • You have collected information from a wide variety of records and want to know how to reduce the pile of papers by abstracting the documents.
    • You want to learn how to take quick and effective notes when you are in a repository.
    • You want to learn what are the essential elements in deeds and probates.
