Library Book Loan CollectionThe National Genealogical Society Library Book Loan Collection is located at the St. Louis County Library (SLCL) in St. Louis, Missouri. The collection consists of 20,000+ books and new titles are being added daily. Almost every book in the NGS Special Collection at St. Louis is available for Interlibrary Loan to everyone—NGS members and non-members alike. Check the SLCL NGS Special Collection Online Library Catalog to search for books of interest. Books in the NGS collection will show this code: "SLCL — NGS Collection". Please print the catalog record and take it to a public or other library through which you can make the ILL request. Your librarian should contact the St. Louis County Library directly. SLCL will also make up to 30 copies from an item, and that service may be preferable for some patrons. Donating Books to the Collection Authors, compilers, or translators wanting to place their genealogical publications(s) in a circulating collection might want to consider this collection as a repository for their work.
