Accommodations
Rooms have been reserved at five conference hotels providing attendees with a range of prices and conveniences. The Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn are across the street from the convention center. The Crowne Plaza, Omni, and Holiday Inn Express are several blocks away, but a free shuttle bus will be provided between these three hotels and the convention site. All rooms are subject to local, state, and federal taxes which are 13% and could increase before the conference begins. Attendees must request the NGS conference rate when making reservations. Hotels are offering the NGS rate three days before and three days after the conference so participants can do research or sight-seeing in the area. The hotels listed below will begin accepting reservations one year in advance of your latest reservation date. Make your reservations early because the hotels may release the rooms to other guests beginning 14 April 2014. A few ADA compliant rooms are available.

Transportation
Major airlines with service to the Richmond International Airport (RIC) include: AirTran, American, Delta, United, US Airways, and a few JetBlue flights. The downtown hotels are about ten miles from the Richmond Airport. The cab ride takes about fifteen minutes and costs approximately $30-$40 plus tip depending upon traffic, so participants are encouraged to share a cab.
