NGS Magazine

Elizabeth Kelley Kerstens, cg*, Editor

The NGS Magazine is much more than a member news source. Each issue is chock-full of informative articles that "show and tell" readers how to do effective genealogical research.

A typical issue features such topics as migration, immigration, courthouse records, adoption resources, records preservation, or a case study that illustrates problem-solving techniques. Regular columns discuss the National Archives, beginning genealogy, technology, family history writing, and reviews of books and software.

From NGS Magazine members learn important news about the annual NGS Family History Conference and research trips, NGS awards and competitions, what's new with the organization, and other upcoming events in the genealogical community.

Upcoming Events

If you're an NGS member, details of your next family history event can be published in NGS Magazine and listed on the NGS Events Calendar online.
