Genealogical research will lead you on fascinating paths where you learn not only about your ancestors, but also about history, culture and yourself. By joining the National Genealogical Society you will also become a member of the genealogical community at large. Our society will keep you abreast of genealogical issues and publications, provide training to conduct more sophisticated research, and grant discounts to our sale items and events.

Your membership begins the month you join and expires 12 months later on the last day of the month prior to which you joined, e.g., join the month of October 2006 and your expiration date will be 30 September 2007. You will be notified two months before your membership expires to be given the opportunity to renew your membership. NGS does not automatically renew members upon expiration.
