The NGS Family History Conference is a premier four-day event for Family Historians, Professional Genealogists, Hobbyists, and History Buffs. It takes place in a different US city each year in the month of May, with a new theme, a new program of lectures, sessions, workshops, luncheons, and events.
NOTE: Due to COVID-19 restrictions the 2020 NGS Family History Conference became a virtual event. NGS 2020 On-Demand! offers you the opportunity to develop exceptional genealogy skills with a highly comprehensive set of on-demand webinars from NGS’s expert conference speakers. On-Demand packages of audio-visual lectures are now available for purchase and viewing at PlaybackNGS.com.
The upcoming NGS 2021 Family History Conference will be held in Richmond, Virginia, and will offer the best and most expansive series of lectures to advance your research. Richmond is easily accessible and has several outstanding genealogical research facilities, including the Library of Virginia just a few blocks away. We hope that COVID-19 will not be a factor in May 2021; however, contingency plans will be in place for any eventuality and to ensure the health and safety of registrants, sponsors, exhibitors, and staff. We’re confident that we will have a strong and enriching program for everyone interested in family history research.
