Partnerships to Benefit Your Organization

Partnerships to Benefit Your Organization

Reach More People and Grow Your Organization

NGS partners with organizations and companies to build up the community of genealogy and family history societies, libraries, archives, museums, and institutions. We are better together and benefit from working with others who can broaden our reach and abilities.

Education and Resources with The Family History Guide Association

NGS and The Family History Guide Association (TFHGA) share a desire to strengthen and grow the genealogy and family history community. TFHGA produces and maintains an incredible genealogy education and resource website referred to as The Family History Guide (TFHG). The wealth of tools and information on the site can help NGS organization members reach beginning genealogists and family historians, develop programs and training, and more.

TFHG is free, easy to use, and available for everyone. With this partnership, NGS member organizations also receive:

  • A one-time presentation or training session with a TFHGA representative provided at no cost if it is a virtual event,
  • Opportunities for possible collaboration on future resources created by TFHGA, and
  • Access to use resources according to the Terms of Use for TFHG Content by NGS Organization Members.

Email the NGS Organizations and Communities Manager to get the Terms of Use for TFHG Content by NGS Organization Members and additional partnership information.

Family Matters Engagement and Outreach with Vivid-Pix

Through the Family Matters Community Engagement Program and Outreach Toolkit, NGS and Vivid-Pix help organizations connect with the public, share their expertise, and engage members or patrons. The Toolkit includes the Vivid-Pix Memory Station™ and software, education courses, and marketing templates. NGS organization members can request a Toolkit loan to host a free event to reach groups in their community and people of all ages.

Family Matters supports organizations in meeting goals for:

  • Mission Fulfillment – Expand your reach and share the joy of genealogy by helping people preserve family history,
  • Member/Patron Engagement – Generate excitement with the people you currently serve and grow as you inspire interest in a new audience, and
  • Volunteer Development – Enrich and encourage volunteerism by providing a meaningful and fun opportunity to assist with an event.

Email the NGS Organizations and Communities Manager if your organization would like to request a Toolkit loan or get more details on how to use this partnership.
